In ICDP’s work looking at the economics of franchised dealers across Europe, we concluded that the traditional franchised workshop format (within a typical main dealer offering both sales and service for an average European volume brand) remains a strong business, capable of delivering 9% return on sales (RoS) and contributing over 50% of the total fixed costs of the dealership.
