DEALER NETWORK DEVELOPMENTS – AGENCY, CONTRACTS, RESTRUCTURING

This Tuesday Update webinar had a focus on developments in dealer networks, as well as the usual ‘late-breaking’ contributions from other research areas.  In the networks area we looked at how agency has actually delivered in terms of market share from a number of markets where it has actually gone live.  Based on interviews with some dealers in those markets, is there evidence that manufacturers have improved their retailing skills to influence demand through dynamic pricing, and what has customer reaction been?  We also looked at some of the current challenges in the new vehicle supply system with shortages in physical car transportation capacity affecting the ability of OEMs to get cars to market from plants and ports.
