September 2021 Fleet and business market evolution webinar

Throughout our research programmes, ICDP has looked at the European business car market in order to understand and highlight any changes and growth.

This webinar explored the growing interest and competition in attracting private customers and professionals from all the players competing in the leasing and rental car market, with the intention of highlighting some trends and best practices. We know that there are many differences and alternative approaches in the strategies towards the large fleet market from all the OEMs, whilst the ‘players’ are using many new initiatives and offering customised solutions for private customers and professionals.  

In particular we looked at:

• Data trends on the growth of car registrations of leasing and rental schemes subscribed to by private customers, professionals and individual companies

• Private customers’ attitudes and interest in new mobility solutions

• Best practices amongst the different type of players (OEMs, franchised dealers, independent leasing/rental companies, new entrants). What solutions have they come up with for private customers and professionals (including both new and used cars)?

• Role of online channels in achieving the above

We focus on the major European markets, but also included some of the smaller markets where some interesting initiatives are already under way.
