In this webinar we revealed our updated Top 50 ranking of independent distributors and dealers in Europe based on 2022 performance, we looked at some of the events that have made significant changes to the rankings, and what that means for the dominance that these groups hold in terms of market share. We have seen new entrants to the Top 10 and two new entrants to the Top 50. Over 80% of the groups in the ranking have gained or lost position by up to eight places. This is all a reflection of a frenzy of M&A activity and the mixed fortunes of manufacturers and their networks as supply constraints started to ease. We also recognised some of the changes that have happened since the end of 2022, as three of the Top 50 groups have been sold to North American buyers, and others in the ranking have made substantial acquisitions themselves.
